The University of Michigan Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum

Back to the university: a casual Diana Mini stroll through the gardens in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is home to the Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum, a nice place to find fabulous flora to capture lomo-style.

I chose to use my Diana Mini for some sunny squares, and my lomo-friend @Clariessa brought her Canon A-1. We enjoyed the manicured gardens, the sunny sunflowers, shaded walking trails, sustainable food gardens, and the tropical and dessert plants in the conservatory.

I recommend visiting the gardens for a peaceful study break when you go back to school!

Nice to see a local place - I live just about 15 miles north of there. Started visiting the gardens about 1947, and still stop by every so often. Lots of other great things to see in the Ann Arbor area that would make good photo essays.
