This year, on August, I made a bicycle tour around Lake Constance, touching three nations (Austria, Switzerland, and Germany). On a very hot week, with temperatures that often exceeded 35 degrees, I really enjoyed the pleasure to swim in the lake and relax on lovely beaches.
This year I used a Smena 8M and a Superheadz White Slim Angel (a clone of the Vivitar UWS) to report my bicycle tour across Europe. The first day (Friday, Augst 17), I reached the train station of Chiasso from my city, Como, to take a train directly to Schaffhausen.

Here I started my new adventure on my mountain bike. In the afternoon, I reached Dachsen and Neuhausen, to see the wonderful waterfall of the Rhein River.

In the late afternoon, I rode towards the east to reach Stein am Rhein, a wonderful medieval town on the Rhein River (see photo below). I made 55km on the bicycle.

On the second day (August 18), I traveled along the Swiss coast of the lake, taking many interesting photos. The first one was taken a few kilometres outside Stein am Rhein, where there is a nautical base dedicated to water ski amusement!

At lunch time, I made a short break in Konstanz, the main German city on the lake. In the photo below you can see the beautiful flowers in the public park near the haven:

A few kilometres, and I was in Kreuzlingen, where there is a band doing a performance:
In the afternoon I took a break on a free beach near Kesswil, where I did some relaxing yoga exercises.

Followed by many funny dips into the lake, as these boys!

That day, I made 73 km on my bicycle. The next day, I reached the Austrian border in the morning, and then I made a short stop in Bregenz at lunchtime. This was a very hot day!

Because of the very high temperatures, I escaped from the city center to reach the relaxing beaches in Lochau, where I enjoyed the shadows of the trees and took a dip followed by a swim in the lake.
In the afternoon I reached Lindau, the German city situated on an isle in the lake, where I took some photos of its historical center:

In the evening, before dinner, after 65km on my bicycle, I stopped in Langenargen, a quiet town on the German side of the Bodensee.

The next day (August 20), I left Langenargen and went off to Friedrichshafen, the city known for its Zeppelin Museum. After some kilometers, outside the city I saw two airships in the sky!

The bicycle path continues in the direction of Meerburg, along a coastline famous for its vineyards. Here I made a stop for a snack, then I continued slowly towards Überlingen. In the early afternoon, I stopped at Ober Uhldingen where I made a stop on a free beach during the hottest hours of the day.
After a one-hour break, I reached Slippingen. Here I abandoned the lake for a few kilometres, directed to Radolfzell, where I stopped at about 19:00pm. Today I made 73 km.
On August 21, I made the last part of the Bodensee tour. From Radolfzell, I reached the town of Wallihausen, and then I reached the wonderful Isle of Mainau.
At lunchtime, I passed Konstanz again and went to the UNESCO World heritage site of Reichenau (see photo below).
Here I took some photos of wonderful wild flowers! In the afternoon I cycled in direction of Allensbach where I made a break on the park

Then I returned to Stein am Rhein, where I stayed for the night after having cycled for 90km. The next morning, I took a train directed to Schaffahusen:
After a short break to visit the city center I took another train to return home! Here you can see the waterfall (again) of the Rhein River in a photo taken while I was on the train!

Outstanding pictures and a lot of sun loving youth in your part of the world! Reminded me of my Swiss-European vacation down in 1989!
