This month, the Italian city of Cervia is hosting the 15th edition of the sand sculpture world master. A wonderful exposition of sculptures made with fantasy and ability. Here are some photos taken in black and white with my Fed 5b camera!
Cervia, an Italian seaside town near Rimini, hosted the best sand sculptors from all over the world, this August. They built these artworks from August 8 to August 10, 2012. On August 10, before the fireworks of the traditional feast of San Lorenzo, the best artists were awarded.
The exhibition of the sculptures is from August 10 to October 15, 2012.
The works were judged by the public and a separated jury has given an award to the most well executed sculpture in terms of technique.
This event is part of another important ‘sand sculptures’ championship organized in the world and is unique to Italy. These photos were taken on August 9 so you can see some artists still working on their sculptures:

Sand sculptures are a pleasant hobby for children and their parents…a timeless way to have fun with an “analog” game…and because this game is “timeless”, I have chosen black-and-white film to add a “vintage” tone to this set of photos!
