Urban Adventures in Singapore: Where Nature Meets the City Part 2

In case you missed me last time, I am aiming to show the two sides to Singapore, the luscious green nature in Part 1 and the amazing architecture of the city, which I will explore here in Part 2! What are you waiting for? Dive into this wonderful city!

The first thing that struck me about Singapore was the colour! Just like Lomography itself, this place is super saturated to the naked eye! Just color, color, color everywhere! Even the most mundane of their buildings has its fair share of different colors.

Now is this a boat? Or a building? I wasn’t quite sure initially but have now decided…it’s both! One of the craziest and most polarizing pieces of architecture I have seen in a long time…it’s a love or hate thing!

One of the prized possessions, for lack of a better term, of Singapore is the river, which runs right through. It is the source of prospects as humble as fishermen and river taxis, but also gives rise to the bustling nightlife Singapore is known for!

The Singapore Flyer gives one a great chance to see the whole city from a unique perspective! The highest observational wheel of its kind in the world, it’s even taller than the London Eye!

Little India may be inspired by an entirely different country…but Singapore still knows how to make it uniquely their own! Colors everywhere! The unique aromas flooding the nose when entering were an experience not soon forgotten!

I can honestly say that I can’t remember the last time I came back from a family holiday with such memorable photos.

As you can probably tell, I am still buzzing from the thrill of Singapore! Not that there is anything wrong with Melbourne, Australia…Singapore is just an entirely different level of excitement! I highly recommend anyone reading this to go!

Make sure to check out the first article in this two-part series too.
