Who doesn't like going to the zoo? But whenever I go, I want to keep my photos interesting. This means going for multiple exposures!
Zoo Miami is a really fantastic place to visit. It’s an absolutely massive park that keeps on growing. There are lots of attractions and animals. Everyone takes pictures though when they are at the zoo, so I wanted to change it up a bit. I did some exposures with vintage slides. Also an extra little surprise I forgot about snuck on the roll.
Initially I wanted to try another attempt at doing doubles with slides. I took a set of Nikon bellows with the slide copying attachment then shot like normal on a roll of Lomography X-pro 100. After I finished the roll, I rolled it back and reloaded it back into the camera. I was ready for double vintage slide at the zoo.
It was a hot sunny day. My girlfriend and I decided to start from the end of the loop and worked backwards around the park. We saw all kinds of animals, some we were familiar with and a few new ones. The food court area wasn’t open yet that day (but it’s finished now) but they had a little temporary cafe set up. You could order some decent food and beer.
The park ended up being so big we were not able to finish seeing it in one day. We took another visit later on and managed to finish it. So another layer of images worked their way onto my film. They came from when I was going to send a roll for someone to double. I thought I used the wrong exposure and that they wouldn’t come out. Multi-exposures are great and always a surprise and nothing’s better than saving them for summer memories.
