A San Francisco Adventure with the LC-Wide and the Sprocket Rocket

A gorgeous day is a perfect day to try out some new films. Let's go on an adventure through San Francisco and Oakland with my LC-Wide and Sprocket Rocket.

I got off the train in the Mission District and passed by Clarion Alley. A great place to check out some street art.

Next, I headed up to Dolores Park. It was still really early, there wasn’t much going on but I still got some fun shots of the Muni.

I had a $50 Groupon for Samovar Tea that will be expiring in a few days, so I stopped by to splurge. I purchased a Japanese plate that came with rice tea, plus I ordered black iced tea, and… a $23 1989 Pu-erh. Sooo delicious!. While I was there, the manager came by and brought me some Korean black tea. I ended up with 4 whole pots of tea just for myself, amazing! And after all that, I still had $2 left to spend.

Next I headed to the Castro District towards Twin Peaks. Not sure, as I am really into the X Tungsten film for how I used it. Will have to experiment more, maybe with my Lubitel.

The entire time I used Sutro Tower to guide me. It was exciting with each time it got closer and closer.

Finally made it up to Twin Peaks. It was an amazingly clear and sunny day for January. Not a cloud to be seen.

Changed rolls to the Lomo Redscale.

And took a few shots with the Sprocket Rocket as well.

I develop my own film and noticed some bubbles on just some of the Redscale shots. I think they are from the photoflo, but I kind of like them!

Headed home back down through the city.

Love the way the escalator looks here.

Quick trip to Lake Merritt.

Peeked on the Occupy Oakland kids. Nothing crazy was going on when I was there.

Final walk through downtown on my way home.

Shot this in January and I finally got around to submitting it to the magazine! It was an amazing little adventure and I'm glad I shared it. Not sure why some typos and grammar mistakes were added after I submitted it though? I guess it's the beauty of Lost in Translation.
