Eiffel Tower, a Lomo Location with a Lot of Structure!

When I was in Paris, the Eiffel Tower made for an amazing lomo subject to photograph! When I visited the Eiffel Tower, I had two cameras with me, the Diana Mini (leopard, loaded with Truprint 200) and a Minolta Dynax 5 (loaded with Lomography Redscale). I had previously been there but had not been into lomography at that time, so I thought this was the perfect moment to get some great shots!

Brief background: The Eiffel Tower is a wrought iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris. Built in 1889, as the entrance arch to the 1889 World’s Fair, it has become both a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The tower is the tallest building in Paris.

The structure of the tower, plus my redscale film, gave the structure a real metal feeling. I loved the results and only wish that I had taken more photos!

A clear sunny day was an advantage to get amazing blues with my expired Truprint film.

I highly recommend that if you’re in Paris, you go and see the Eiffel Tower. It’s amazing to see but also amazing to photograph with lots of things to do around it!

The Diana Mini is the ultra-compact, petite version of the Diana F+. This camera takes soft-focused, lo-fi images in 35mm and allows you to change between half-format and square shots with a flick of a switch. Get your own Diana Mini now!
