Your daily journey to work or school doesn’t have to be boring. Turn it into an urban safari photo trip. Here’s how I did it.

If you use the public transport to go to work or school, this traveling time can be a good photo opportunity for you. But before you fire the first frame, I highly recommend that you plan your route. Even though you may have traveled this route countless times, you need to re-look at things as if this was your first trip.
Here’s what I did when I set out on this project. I identified the possible routes to work and then chose the two shortest bus routes to work because I cannot afford to be late for work. Then I took a ride on the two different bus routes and kept a mental note of the things that would make an interesting photo to show someone else who has not been to this part of the world.
So these are the 8 things I did and looked out for.
1.Look for the interesting…and the mundane.
This photo is over exposed but you can still see a guy sitting at the curb waiting for his bus.
It’s a clear road ahead.
2.Keep an eye out for others traveling and rushing to work.

3. Don’t forget to look up.
If you’re traveling on a double-decker bus, don’t forget to look down too!
4.Look to your left…but don’t forget to look to your right either.
5.Look for patterns.
6.Look out for signs.
7.Use both color and black & white films…but don’t forget to try different cameras too.
8. Shoot yours or someone else’s ride to work.
Depending on how fast your ride is traveling, this photo project will take at least three to five trips to complete.
