Viva VivoCity in Black & White

VivoCity is one of the largest shopping malls in Singapore. It is located in the Harbourfront area, directly across the sea from another famous tourist attraction, Sentosa Island. Let's have a look at VivoCity in black & white after the jump!

As the largest shopping mall in Singapore, VivoCity boasts about 1 million square foot of retail space. It also has Singapore’s largest cinema multiplex with 15 screens, a hypermart, and a large variety of retail outlets.

Due to its location, most visitors will pass through VivoCity in order to travel into Sentosa Island. From VivoCity, one can either take the Sentosa Express (a monorail service), or walk across the Sentosa Boardwalk to access Sentosa Island.

One feature that sets VivoCity apart from other malls is the large amount of space dedicated to families and children. There is a Play Court on level 2 that have kiddie rides and children’s playground installations.

On level 3, there’s a wading pool where many children play in besides the Play Court. There’s also an Amphitheatre and several restaurants. Most notable is Marche with its signature cow statues outside the restaurant.

Actually, there are some nice flowers and rocket-shaped statues in the outdoor areas that are seldom noticed by shoppers.

Besides shopping, I also like to take a walk along the boardwalk and enjoy the great sea view. From the boardwalk, I can see the Cruise Center and Resorts World Sentosa.

It is also a good location to do street photography as everyone is indulging in something they like to do.

Sun tanning?

Hiding from the hot sun!

Fishing!

Having a cigarette break from work.

Or simply doing body maintenance!

Do visit VivoCity today and instead of the usual shopping or catching a movie, do take a walk to the less-explored niches! There might be some surprises for you just round the corner!
