Tegallalang is a well-known area at the north of Ubud in the centre of Bali. It has just about every form of handicraft made in Bali.
During our trip to Ubud Bali, we went to Tegallalang Rice Terraces, which I find gorgeous. It is about 20 minutes by car from Ubud City.
The rice terraces at Tegallalang Village has a beautiful view with coconut trees and a beautiful small river valley. Tegallalang Village is well-known as the village for handicrafts especially for those for wholesale and export, along the road to the village, you will see lots of locals selling varieties of painted woodcarving with colorful designs.
We crossed the road to obtain a good vantage point to take our photos. There are several vantage points located down a few steps to shops and “warungs”. Naturally, the owners approached us and attempted to sell us their handicrafts. We bought some handmade souvenirs from them but remember, BARGAINING is a MUST!
I adore this place being so artistically inclined, it is one of the main attractions in Bali that I find outstanding. We really love the greenery!
