What's up at the University of Palermo?

Welcome to the University of Palermo, Italy. It was founded in 1806 and is now one of the largest universities in Italy. The buildings of the university are quite all over the city, some old, some new, and some with great history. Enjoy the visit!

The university of Palermo was founded in 1806 by Ferdinand III of Bourbon, King of Naples and of the two Sicilies. Now it is one of the largest universities in Italy with over 65,000 students coming mainly from the west side of the island. It is mainly based in Palermo but is also present in Agrigento, Caltanissetta, and Trapani.

Here is a little tour of the university.

This is the rector (in Italian we say Magnifico Rettore that sounds like the Magnificent Rector):

This is the School of Letters with its toilets:

This is the School of Economics:

This is the School of Architecture:

The headquarters are in a building that formerly was where the Tribunal of the Holy Office of the Inquisition of Palermo had its headquarters

It’s a nice and calm university, you can go jogging in the campus or do exercise and you find dogs everywhere, even in Lectures Hall!

Here is a stop motion I made in the campus of the university:
