Since 2008, Hyde Park (London) set up a Christmas fun fair attraction called Winter Wonderland, which turns Hyde Park into a fairytale wonderland!
Last December, I had some friends visiting, so we all went to Winter Wonderland for the first time. I heard that it is usually very crowded, mostly on weekends, so we decided to go on a weekday, and we had an amazing time!
Winter Wonderland provides fun and laughter for the whole family, especially kids (and kids at heart). As well as the stunning ice rink, Winter Wonderland includes gentle rides for younger children, a huge Christmas market, the Giant Observation Wheel and two circuses – ‘Christmas Circus’ and ‘Cirque Extreme’.
In the market, you can find a traditional English food fair and a Bavarian village, which should meet all of your sausage and beer needs. For me, a stop at the crepe stall was in order of course (I love Nutella crepes)! You have to buy tickets for some activities, such as the circus, ice rink, and the observation wheel (which you can book in advance), but entry to the site is free.
