A Market Called

Thief, thief, thief! Call the police to catch them! Kidding, I'm just trying to be funny, there are no thieves around but there is a market in Singapore, which has a lot of "thieves"! It is the Thieves Market located in Sungei Road (literally River Road), a road which is in between Serangoon Road and Jalan Besar. Since the early 1930s 'til present, this road has retained its name "Thieves Market".

During weekends, this place is packed with crowds, from oldies to the young ones. You guys must be wondering what is so special about this market. It is the largest and oldest flea market you can find in Singapore. One can find lots of items there ranging from boots, old laser discs, toys even electrical appliances. As you can see from the photos, all the people opening a flea are the elderly.

Walking around the market, you get to see interesting old folks with unique items on display for the fleas. Here’s a bit of good news, take a deep breath and listen, you get to find old CAMERAS here too! You can even find usable ones, all you have to do is ask the seller if they are usable. The best part is, you can ask for an extremely good price! So come on down to Thieves Market and take a walk around to enjoy it yourself!
