Back in 1980 or thereabouts, my parents brought my brother and me to Hong Kong for a family vacation. One of the places we visited was Sung Dynasty Village, a theme park based on an old village in China.
Recently while rummaging through a drawer, I found a photo album filled with photos taken during one of my family vacations 30 years ago.
The year was 1980 and the location was Sung Dynasty Village, Hong Kong. The Sung Dynasty themed village was a very popular tourist attraction in Hong Kong when we were there. It was one of those ‘must-see’ places.
I was just a child then but I do remember the playful acrobats prancing around like clowns, visiting the theme park’s wax museum and watching how a wedding ceremony was conducted back in China’s olden days. Here are some of the photos:
I don’t know if Sung Dynasty Village is still operating today but these photos brought back some wonderful memories of my childhood!
