On September 2011, @shielladwnd @ngoki @ panjihardjakaprabon and I were eating at Kafe Kebon in Bandung. After eating, we talked so much and ended up initiating an analogue trip to Mount Bromo. Yes! Mount Bromo. It was a great, great trip! It's my most memorable travel escapade in 2011.

Mount Bromo is an active volcano and part of the Tengger massif, in East Java, Indonesia. But before we went to Mount Bromo, we had to witness the famous sunrise in Mount Pananjakan. To see the sunrise, we had to walk hundreds of steps up to Mount Pananjakan. But it’s worth every step! Trust me!

So here we are on top of Mount Pananjakan witnessing the best sunrise of our life (so far the best). It was really, really beautiful! Check the photos below!

After seeing the sunrise, we had to walk down Mount Pananjakan and take a jeep to Mount Bromo.

Mount Bromo sits in the middle of a vast plain called the “Sea of Sand”. Yes, Sea of Sand! So beautiful! It’s really great I think, to walk on sand, even if it’s getting heavy with the steps I took but it’s really worth it!

As we took our steps and walked, walked, walked to Mount Bromo, we were already a bit of tired, so we rode a horse to save our energy when we climbed up Mount Bromo.

After so much walking, we were finally at the top of Mount Bromo! Yes! We are on the top of the world! It was breathtaking!

I have to admit I was a bit nervous knowing that beside me is the Bromo Volcano crater but I still managed to shoot! Haha…

As we walked down the stairway, we realized how beautiful Mount Bromo really is. Every heavy step and our exhaustion was really worth it. It’s really, really worth it!

As I walked down and far away from Mount Bromo, my heart said, “Adi, you must come here again”. And I will someday.
