The magnificent river wading journey through nature heading towards the Rainbow Waterfall.
After conquering Bukit Lembing, we greeted our next challenge – the exciting adventure crossing Sungai Lembing (translation:The Lembing River) to reach our destination – the Rainbow Waterfall. Sungai Lembing, like Bukit Lembing is another tourist attraction that captured a lot of visitors from around the globe. Our good rest made sure we are fit for the upcoming river adventure. Five in the morning saw the team in our 4WD heading towards our destination. Forty-five minutes later we hit a “No vehicle zone” and the signboard translated to our first challenge, as the only means of transportation is our God-created human legs. Awesomeness!
Let me tell you this, wading through the river was cool but very challenging. It was extremely difficult due to the fact that it rained the night before and so the water was flowing extremely fast. After crossing the river, we had to do an hour of jungle trekking before we can say ‘hello’ to our waterfall.
So we finally reached Rainbow Waterfall. It is so amazing and unbelievable. The scenery was stunning to a point that it awed us and rendered us speechless.
This was the only shot of the waterfall that I managed to capture. The water from the waterfall was so strong that I got wet within one second of moving in to feel its beauty.
If previously I said that Bukit Lembing is a place for nature lovers, the journey across Sungai Lembing brings you even closer to Mother Nature. My thoughts: You have to go to both for the ultimate experience.
