My Not-So-Secret Favorite Patch of Greenery in an Urban Jungle

There are several places I like to go to clear my mind. Most of the time, it would be places with some greenery. And I have quite a few favorite places I like. This is one of them.

When I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to walk 20 minutes to my suburb’s town park, I’ll pop over to a smaller patch of greenery, which is just a five-minute walk from my flat.

However, this patch of greenery is overshadowed by the playground’s dragon slide that it shares the space with. But that’s ok with me because if you’re there early enough, you can always get a seat at the only gazebo available.

What I like about this place is that when you’re seated in the gazebo, you literally can feel that you’re in your own world. Yet, still be part of the scene. This is great for parents or minders having a break while watching their kids or charges.

When you’re bored sitting there not doing anything, you can take a walk around its reflexology foot path. Or just use the free outdoor gym.

This place is popular with the neighbourhood kids after school and on weekends. After all, what kid can resist the fun of sliding down from the dragon’s head?

Unless Mommy or Daddy wants them to play with the newer but equally as fun yellow twin slides instead.
