Urban Adventures in Jalan Abdullah Ibrahim

Jalan Abdullah Ibrahim is one of the roads in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. It is one of the busiest roads in the city apart from Jalan Wong Ah Fook. From Singapore, it normally takes half an hour journey from Woodlands.

Jalan Abdullah Ibrahim is named after Abdullah Ibrahim. The word “Jalan” is the Malay word for road. It has a lot of interesting things to look out for.

Top of the list is the Chinese Herbal Tea. Chinese Herbal Tea is normally drank to cool down the body when it is overheated due to the weather or sickness. It is normally served cold. The price is reasonably cheap and affordable. However the Chinese Herbal Tea tastes slightly bitter due to the ingredients used.

Apart from the Chinese Herbal Tea, there are mini stalls selling night snacks or night eatery. Prices are affordable too and it helps to fill up one’s stomach easily for those on a budget.

The people along Jalan Abdullah Ibrahim are rather friendly and the guy was willing to take a group picture with us.

Lastly, I found an adorable female kid on the streets as well.
