A railway station in the middle of the urban city that has a history dating back to the independence of Singapore, which possesses beautiful interior designs from the past. Tanjong Pagar railway station, which is also called Keppel Road railway station or Singapore railway station, was operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) until recently, ceased in train services. The building structure held very beautiful interior designs, which include pictures or statues on the walls and nice, gigantic glass panels of windows around the ticketing area.
There are many distinctive structures in the railway stations, from the circular shaped fences at the departure or arrival area, vintage trolley carts, and the very rundown coffee house that serves food since the opening of the railway station.
It is a very nice place to take photos if you are easily mesmerized by vintage architectures. However, it is also a paradise for people who love human candid portraits or street photography genres. Interesting people sleeping while waiting for the train or having their meal during their lunch break from a nearby office or kids running around playing are a common sighting. They serve finger-licking good Muslim food and is often patronized by tourists before boarding the train back to their homeland.
The railway station will never fail to let you feel that you are back in the 60s.
