The point in between the world's most scenic train ride and the Norwegian fjords cruise ride! A place that we would definitely pass by while taking the rides! Beautiful Flåm is nestled in the innermost part of the Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of 204 kilometres long and up to 1308 metres deep, Sognefjord - the world's longest and deepest fjord.
Modern transportation makes Flåm easily accessible by car, cruise, train or bus. Flåm Railway is known as one of the world’s most scenic and fantastic stretches of railway. It is an incredible train journey from the Myrdal Station on the Bergen Railway down to the Flåm Station. It gives experiences of a climb of almost 900 meters from the fjords to the mountaintop, a steep incline, a tunnel that spiral-twisted inside the mountain, and breathtaking views! Wanna see? Take the ride!
These are pictures taken after the amazing train ride, before the cruise ride.
At the foot of the mountains, the beauty of the Flåm valleys and the majestic Aurlandfjord were totally indescribable by words…I blame it on the rainy weather for making all the pictures crappy, but trust me, it looks a million times better in real life!
High into the mountains, deep into the fjords, I truthfully admire the narrow valleys and the surroundings. Flåm is a paradise!
