NYC: On the Top of the Rock with My Diana Mini!

Hunting in NYC is very inspiring. During one week, we went on a hunt for clothes, shoes, bags, good bakeries, wool, books, new interesting trends...we couldn't leave Manhattan without having seen a view, then, we went on the top of the Rockefeller Center because it is where you can have the best view of the Empire State, Central Park and all the different boroughs of NYC. The day was sunny, there was snow everywhere, and the light was delightful.

During this whole week, my husband just stayed in France as he doesn’t like big cities, photos or shopping. With Victoire and Capucine, my daughters, we were off to NYC. They were so excited to rediscover this cosmopolitan town. During our first days there, we woke up at 5am, mainly because of jetlag, so we had time to taste all the nice places there to have breakfast. In NYC, it seems that nobody has breakfast at home, so it is very convenient when you are a tourist, you can always find a different place to go.

At Times Square, we realized that the TV show “Good Morning America” has its studios on the ground floor, so you can all that’s happening. It was very funny. Capucine was wearing an orange jacket so she was very visible. All day long we hunted for clothes, shoes, bags, good bakeries, wool, books, new interesting trends…

We went to Forever 21 on Times Square, it is a big clothes shop, there is a cabin where for some dollars you are filmed and you can directly send your video to a friend or post it on Facebook. It was my brother’s birthday, so our present to him was a beautiful song from the three of us: “Joyeux anniversaire from New York”. He received it instantly, it was so strange!

During our trip, we also got to taste the best burgers of our life, the best meat also at Mickey Mantle’s on Central Park. We couldn’t leave Manhattan without having seen a view, so we went on the top of the Rockefeller Center because it is where you can see the Empire State, Central Park, and all the different neighborhoods. The day was sunny, there was snow everywhere, the lght was delightful. We could connect on Skype and Facebook, so I called Fabien, my husband who was so lonely in France, and he was able to discover the view with us while he was on his computer. We also posted it on Facebook, and instantly received comments on our post. Then, we finished eating the Empire State with my Diana Mini, it was very funny! When I processed the photos, I was so happy to see the results. I want to go back to NYC and have more photos with my lomos.
