Leeds Corn Exchange

Leeds Corn Exchange is a beautiful Victorian building in the heart of Leeds City Centre. It currently houses cafes, restaurants, boutiques, independent shops, and hosts a regular vintage fair.

Leeds Corn Exchange was built in 1864 and is one of only 3 in the country still being used for trade purposes (although today it is more cupcakes and shoes, rather than corn and sheep). It is a gorgeous Grade 1 listed building and it looks absolutely spectacular when you go through the doors and get a view of the fabulous circular ceiling.

All around the edges there are shops where you can find quirkier and more original items than what’s on your shopping lists, such as collectible rubber ducks, unique glittery platform shoes, bath bombs that look like cakes, and a selection of sweets from the USA. Approximately once a month, there is a craft fair on Saturdays and/or Sundays held in this building and this is an even better shopping experience and the traders are really friendly, making it one of my favourite places to shop. At the moment, the Corn Exchange has a really festive feel so I recommend you to get down there for all your Christmas gift buying needs!
