The resorts in Lang Tengah Island offer activities like snorkeling and diving. The sea waters surrounding the island are abundant with coral and small fishes.
Lang Tengah Island is barely patronized by people compared to the neighbouring Redang Island and Perhentian Island. There are no roads on the island to help you get around in this small island – you have to either take a speedboat, hike in the tropical jungle, swim or snorkle.
The waters surrounding Lang Tengah Island are shallow. During our visit there, we had snorkeling trips arranged by the resort. Yay!
Look how adorable the sea cucumber was! >.<
This is the seashell brought up from the bottom of the sea by our diver – the guide.
Don’t worry, we put it back into the sea after taking its picture. Please do so too to preserve the marine life when you’re there! ;) Other than that, we’ve seen schools of fishes and many corals in the sea. Too bad my Fisheye submarine was not functioning well so I didn’t get to take many underwater pictures for this trip. :( I’m so gonna get an LC-A+ Krab!
We didn’t manage to dive there as we spent comparatively a very short duration there for beach activities, swimming, relaxing, and snorkeling. We heard that encounters with turtles, resident schools of jacks and barracudas, and leopard sharks are almost assured around the tiny coral island. Nevertheless, we’ve spotted quite a few leopard sharks too while snorkeling! We definitely need more days. :) We will be back!
