Legoland is not just a theme park for kids, it can be enjoyed by adults of all ages as well. With over 55 interactive rides, live shows, building workshops, driving schools, and attractions, all set in 150 acres of beautiful parkland, Legoland Windsor Resort is a unique family theme park.
I went earlier this year with my Fisheye and LC-A and I was not disappointed with what I came across.
First stop on a summer’s day, a water ride. One thing I would say is, be prepared to go wild and get soaked! For those who are not brave enough, you can always buy a waterproof poncho! After that, we chose to do some gold panning, which allowed us to dry up in the sun. With so much to do in the park, it can be hard to complete everything especially on some busy days. If that’s the case, you can always purchase Qbot. This will help you queue up virtually, allowing you to do something else such as eat or shop. It was worth spending the money on as we managed to visit so many other rides.
We were also met by the incredible Lego models throughout the park. From comical camels to fearsome fire-breathing dragons, world landmarks to musical pirates, it’s amazing what can be built with LEGO bricks – apparently nearly 55 million! So many photo opportunities!
Legoland closes for the winter but will be open again in March 2012. During that time, their new hotel will be open as well so for many families, a mini break may just be what’s needed. Have fun!
