Portobello Road with the LC-Wide

Don't know what to do over the weekend? How about going to one of the most famous street markets in the world?

Portobello Road Market is located in Notting Hill. You can get there by taking the tube to Notting Hill Gate Station.

And then just follow the people around you. As you get out, you’ll also see directions.

Most people prefer to go to the Saturday Antiques Market but I actually prefer going to the Street Market during the week or on Sunday. It’s less crowded and if you like to go on a Sunday like me, you usually get better prices. Last time I went there, I got myself a first edition of Music for the Chameleons for a twenty. Bargain! You can also get guitars for under £30.

There has always been some sort of market since 1870, so you can be sure to find interesting items.

For food I would recommend Gail’s, especially if you are in the mood for a pastry or dessert. Or go to the Gate Bar and Restaurant if you are in the mood for a cocktail.

Love Banksy? You can buy Banksy-inspired souvenirs in Portobello. : )

My favorite one was the Banksy-inspired Pulp Fiction, I wish I could have a wall decoration like that in my flat.

I would also suggest going to the Electric Cinema, one of the oldest cinemas in Britain.

My favorite shop in the Portobello area: Mimi Fifi London (the cutest toy shop in London).

And beware of the cat!

The Lomo LC-Wide boasts the newly-developed 17mm Minigon Ultra-Wide Angle lens. This 35mm camera wonder is the perfect companion for your photo expeditions. It produces eye-catching splashes of colour with astonishing saturation and contrasts with the added versatility of 3 different formats. Open up to a new photographic experience with the LC-Wide, available in our Shop.
