A small city guide for foreigners to Toronto.
I was recently in Toronto this month and absolutely admire this bustling city. I found this metropolis to be a wonderful mixture of culture, architecture, pace of life, and beauty.
As a foreigner to Canada, I was greeted with nothing but kindness by the residents. Lomography’s Gallery Store was a good source of supplies for my Diana F+. The staff were knowledgeable and the prices were right, considering the prices I saw at the other local shops for film.
The folks at Downtown Camera on Queen St. deserve my thanks for processing my negatives quickly and with care. They had no problem helping me get exactly what I wanted and answered all my questions.
There are so many interesting things to photograph here. And unlike at home, no one was shooing me away while the camera was attached to my face.
While I was there in October, I found Lomo 120 400iso film to be best suited for lighting with the Diana F+.
Some suggested highlights are the Toronto Railway Heritage Centre, St. Lawrence Market on Jarvis, Queen St. West, Theatre District, Yonge St. and the Path (underground)
The Diana F+ is a new twist on the ‘60s classic cult camera. Famous for its dreamy and soft-focused images, the Diana F+ is now packed with extra features such as panorama and pinhole capabilities. Available in our Online Shop.
