Bruchsal Palace

A pretty baroque palace near Heidelberg that's well worth having a look at.

Bruchsal Palace was first built in 1720. It then went through different periods of glory and decay until it was destroyed in 1945 during WWII. However, fortunately it was reconstructed and is now in perfect shape and looks great.

Although its dimensions are modest, Bruchsal Palace is well worth a visit: it’s well maintained and a very handsome ensemble. There is the palace itself, but you may also enjoy the palace garden.
Also, the German Music Machine Museum (Deutsches Musikautomaten-Museum) and the Museum of the City of Bruchsal are both located in Bruchsal Palace and may be of interest.

So if you’re in the area and looking for a nice place to check out that’s not too crowded with tourists, Bruchsal Palace would be a great choice.
