I have been to Clifford's Tower in York a number of times and always go for a romantic walk around the hill it sits on, with my other half. The last few times I've been there, we've also been other nice touches that I hope will remain through autumn as they really add something.

Clifford’s Tower on Tower Street in York town centre has been known as such since 1322 after Roger de Clifford was hanged there following a rebellion against Kind Edward II.
It is a lovely location, especially for a romantic stroll with a loved one on your arm. Also down at the bottom on one side of the tower is a car park with lots of other exciting and romantic things to do. There is a vintage ice-cream van which seems to be permanently in residence so you can treat your special one to a lollipop.

There is also a very beautiful carousel, and although it may seem a bit childish, I like nothing more than a ride on a carousel horse with my chap, laughing, and taking photos.
If you are in York then I highly recommend a visit to Clifford’s Tower.
