Tung Chung New Development Ferry Pier is a ferry pier in Tung Chung, Lantau Island. Lantau Island is the largest island in Hong Kong. In the old days, it mainly consisted of fishing villages. But recently, it has been rapidly developed with several major infrastructure projects such as Hong Kong International Airport. Tung Chung is now a new town with numerous public and private housing estates.
The pier is on the Tung Chung Waterfront Road. It is In between the Tung Chung New Town and the airport, and situated just in front of the private estate, Seaview Crescent.
Not many people are familiar with it because only one ferry service is maintained between Tung Chung and Tai O now. Therefore, it is not a busy pier, but a quiet little pier where local people love to have a walk or go fishing there.
