A Not-So Pirate Life

Since my boyfriend is a huge sailing fanatic, and I enjoy lounging around on boats, we decided to do one more boating session before he moves to the USA. His dad, a sailing mate, brother, and brother's girlfriend joined us and it was a great sunny day on the water!

We didn’t really go too far (there wasn’t much wind) but the day was absolutely great. We started out at the city of Enkhuizen. A typical harbor village with a lot of beautiful views. Before setting sail, we drank some coffee, and decided where to sail.

I’m not much for physical labor and I can’t even tie a shoelace, let alone know how to operate a boat. So the roles were coming together quite quickly. Me and my 2 cameras would document our voyage and make sure everyone had enough food and drinks while the others did the heavy lifting.

At first, people where wondering what type of camera I was carrying with me. One of my beauties is a Diana F+ CMYK and that one springs into the eye quite violently. I had to convince my brother-in-law that these indeed are ‘old fashioned’ cameras. With rolls. And developing. He was baffled that anyone would tinker in something like that but was a good sport about posing for pictures.

After a while, we got to land again and we ‘parked’ the boat in Hoorn. There we got off and had some delicious fresh fish before we hopped back on and sailed all the way back to Enkhuizen. On the water, it was relatively calm, not too many boats, but I did manage to get some great pictures in of the sea and some of our fellow sailors.

I can recommend a nice sailing trip in the Netherlands to anyone. It’s enjoyable, you’re out in nature, and the feeling of the wind in your face is just priceless!

The Diana F+ CMYK is splashed with the four important colours in offset printing. Packed with the same features are the original Diana F+, this colourful clone will surely catch everyone’s attention. See it with the rest of the Diana Clones here!
