My Favorite Childhood Hangout: Clamming at Silver Mine Bay (Hong Kong)

Do you want to enjoy a happy family day out of the air-conditioned room and at the same time, play with your beloved Lomo Plastic Friends under the brilliant sun? Let’s go clamming together at Silver Mine Bay in Hong Kong!

Back in the days when I was still a little girl, clamming was one of my favorite outdoor activities during summer holidays. We usually go to the beach with my parents and my little brother, and swim for a while then start digging for clams during the low tide.

Time flies and it has been 20 years since that I’ve nearly forgotten about my favorite childhood hangout. A few weeks ago, I went camping with my friends and we went clamming at Silver Mine Bay. With the help of some tools, we dug for clams that hid under the sand. We just couldn’t help screaming and laughing each time we found these gems, as some of them were as big as our palms!

Large clams are perfect for barbecue while small ones go well with noodles with curry soup. Ooh lala…I can still remember the taste that clams bring to my taste buds! Just too delicious to describe!

Go grab your swimwear and your beloved Lomo Plastic Friends, and let’s go clamming together!

Transportation:
Take the bus no. 3M at Tung Chung Station and you’ll arrive right at the entrance of Silver Mine Bay Beach when you get off the bus at Mui Wo
