This beach is very popular among the locals. While it is not appropriate to compare it to beaches of highly popular islands like Terengganu, namely Pulau Redang, the Perhentians and Pulau Lang Tengah, this beach does have its own charm.

Its light-orange sand is fairly soft, with the sea breeze gently sweeping it away through your face. In the evening, there are a few locals coming here to play beach soccer or volleyball. There are also 2-3 food stalls selling local delicacies such as fried keropok lekor and fried cuttlefish.

One can also go swimming here, particularly at the right side of the beach between the two huge rocks which make into a so-called private swimming pool and lovely beach. Nearby, one can also view the rustic fishing village at the river mouth of Kemasik River.

From Kuantan, head north for about 2 hours. Once you see the entrance to Awana Kijal Beach, Golf & Spa Resort, go a little further up for another 3 minutes. There is a signboard showing you where to turn right into Kemasik Beach.

If you are from Kuala Lumpur, you can take a bus and buy a ticket straight to Kemaman, after that take a cab. The journey via cab to Pantai Kemasek will take you approximately 30 minutes to reach Pantai Kemasek.
