Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens

Spring is here, time to spend some time outside in beautiful Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.

Hyde Park is one of the biggest parks in London. I am including Kensington Gardens in this article because when you are actually walking in the park there is very little division between the two. There is a huge variety of things to see and do in the park. There is even a riding school (Hyde Park Stables) that does lessons and rides through the park. You can also rent paddle boats for going around the Serpentine and there is also the famous Speakers’ Corner where you can listen to people speak about anything they feel like.

My favourite walk is to go along the Serpentine and then on into Kensington Gardens. There is quite a variety of waterbirds in the Serpentine although my perennial favourites are always the swans. In Kensington Gardens there is the Serpentine Gallery and the famous statue of Peter Pan. As the weather gets better, expect to see more and more people flocking to London’s parks.

Nice pictures. But 'spring is here'? It's august, no? :D
