Jellied Eels @ London Fields

A summertime stroll to Hackney's London Fields.

If you have a free Saturday, why not try heading down/up to London Fields? We cycled, but you can definitely walk or take the bus to it.

London Fields sounds like a park, doesn’t it? Well you’re right, it is, but it is one with a difference. Every Saturday, it is filled to the brim with London hipsters. Great for people watching, as there are certainly some real interesting characters.

You should also try the market just off the Fields, it is a mishmash of things – food, vintage clothing, bric-a-brac. So there is plenty to see, feel, and taste. If you’re a bit peckish like we were, then why not try the Jellied Eels Cafe? It actually sells Jellied Eels, it is an experience that perhaps you won’t forget. They also sell pie and mash with parsley sauce. I just had the mash and parsley sauce (veggie), still good in my mind. Enjoy!
