Manila's famous bargain market never fails to be a great photographic location - especially in monochromes.
For a long time, I had not shot in black and white. I tried to save the very few monochrome films I have. But on the day I visited Divisoria to do some personal shopping, I decided to bring along my LCA+ fed with an Ilford.
Divisoria or Divi for short is probably the most famous and usually the most crowded public market in the Philippines. It’s credited for being the hub of cheap products from in and out of the country. Here, negotiating for a bargain and haggling down the prices are the common rules of trade.
Went there on a weekday armed with my lomocam. So as not to call much attention to my photography, I tried to shoot inconspicuously. Most of these shots are shots from the hip while I was looking away from the subjects to divert any suspicion. Sometimes I get the feeling this is what spies in movies are doing. LOL
