The Monument to the Great Fire of London

The Monument to the Great Fire of London. Lots of steps, but worth the trek! Will set you back 3 squid though

Built by Sir Christopher Wren in 1677 to commemorate the Great Fire of London and to celebrate the rebuilding of the city, the Monument is one of London’s lesser-known attractions. However, it’s a magnificent structure with one of the city’s most glorious panoramic views – if, that is, you fancy climbing it’s 311-step spiral staircase. Yes, 311 fucking steps. Trust me, don’t go up if you’re in anyway tired or hungover but do if you want a great view having earned it. That and it’s cheaper than a one-day gym membership in the Square Mile! Did I also mentioned that you get a certificate too? I dare you to frame it…
