Kennedy Space Center!

"Space, the final frontier." Nearly all of us have wanted to go there at some point, and many of us still do. Outer space is beautiful yet treacherous, exciting yet terrifying, and far away but closer than we think. Take a step beyond and learn a little more about the universe at the Kennedy Space Center.

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No…it’s a shuttle that’s been to the International Space Station and back! Well, not really. But it is a full-size replica of the Explorer Space Shuttle. The shuttle is one of the many attractions to see at the Space Center. Others include the Rocket Garden, the Apollo/Saturn V Center, and the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame.

Be sure to take the tour bus to the Apollo/Saturn V Center. In my opinion, it’s the most interesting part of the Space Center for it houses a real Saturn V rocket and lots of other cool stuff to see. There’s even a rock from the moon that you can touch.

Admission is a bit pricey at 43USD for adults and 33USD for children 3-11, but it is well worth it if you are at all interested in outer space. Overall, the Kennedy Space Center is a great place to spend the day if you happen to find yourself near it.
