The Victoria and Albert Museum

The V&A has become the coolest museum in London, not only does it host the best events, the admission to the V&A is also free.

The V&A is known as the world’s greatest museum of art and design. It attracts more than 11.5 million visitors a year. The V&A has collections that are over a thousand years old from every part of the world. It truly has the most special and beautiful objects. The museum was established in 1852. The originator of the museum was Sir Henry Cole whose philosophy was that everyone should be able to enjoy art including the working class .

Every time I go there I just have to make a stop to the V&A Café, the food there is amazing. It’s located in the original refreshment rooms, the Morris, Gamble and Poynter Rooms. Those rooms are the first museum restaurant in the world. You can get anything from soups, salads, sandwiches (for both meats and veggie lovers) , pastries and cakes (I love their brownies), as well as hot and cold drinks and alcoholic beverages. All the food are fresh and bought daily. For those of you who packed their own food you’re welcome to go enjoy it in the lunchroom. During summer I would recommend the Garden Café especially for cold drinks.

The museum is open from 10.00 to 17.45 daily (special hours on Fridays : from 10.00 to 22.00). The tunnel entrance to the V&A is open from 10.00 – 17.40 everyday except for Friday: 10.00 – 20.00.

You can either get there by bus or by taking one of those buses: C1, 14, 74 and 414
Or take the tube: I would recommend South Kensington underground station on the Piccadilly, Circle and District Line, that way you get to go by the tunnel entrance. ; ) You can also stop at Covent Garden (about ten minutes away from the museum ) or Knightsbridge (also about ten minutes away)

It’s located at Cromwell Road, London SW7 2RL. Don’t forget to check out what kind of events they’re having. I went to the Royal Wedding Party and it was incredible .
