As I live in Portugal, this beautiful seaside country with great weather, I have plenty of opportunities to sunbathe. Not only on the beach but also on a terrace, on a public garden or on another pleasant place. But first I'll tell you about the beach! And this time, the beaches of Costa da Caparica in Lisbon.
Portugal has many beaches along the coast from north to south. Many of you may know or have heard about the beaches of the Algarve. But this time I’ll tell you about the beaches of Lisbon. I do not advise these beaches if you come to the country exclusively for the beach. But if you come visit the city of Lisbon and you have time to spare after visiting all the attractions of the city and you feel like going to the beach, you should know that you can also go to the beach.
Lisbon has several beaches and there are also great beaches on the outskirts of town. But this time I’ll tell you about Costa da Caparica’s beaches. Costa da Caparica is the beach where all Lisbon people go. These beaches may even be too crowded. But they are big and beautiful and are surrounded by restaurants serving fresh fish and other dishes with a view of the sea.
The beaches of Costa da Caparica are on the south bank of the Tejo River. To get there, you have to cross the river. There are three ways to do it: by boat, by bus or by train. By train or bus, you cross the bridge over the Tejo River which has a beautiful view. Crossing by boat is also a very beautiful experience.
There are cheap tickets that include crossing the river and a bus to catch you on the other side and take you to beaches. The port of the boats are in Belém and it is also where you can take the train. Belém is one of the most touristy places in Portugal, so it is very easy to find a tourism center or something, and ask how you can go to the beaches of Costa da Caparica.
We’re still in April and I already had my first day at the beach this year! It has been very hot here! :) And I went to Costa da Caparica! I hope this entry was useful to you!
