Mooon Cafe

Yes it has three Os. The extra letter O is for the overall, outstanding mark that I give them. The food is affordable, the taste is superb and the Mexican ambiance is really cozy and great. Mooon Cafe is a restaurant where you can order and not worry about the prices and taste, definitely worth the money you paid.

Mooon Cafe is a Mexican-inspired dining establishment that is why the interiors will remind you of a Mexican Cantina. The menu is typically international cuisine, but with more focus on Mexican fare. The restaurant has rich Mexican colors that are very healthy and pleasing to the eyes. Customers will be amazed of the servers because they have this cute and colorful Mexican-style uniforms.

During our group’s visit to Ozamiz, Mindanao, upon seeing the exteriors of Mooon Cafe, and the paintings on the wall, we didn’t hesitate about going inside and try it. The price points are so affordable…the food and drinks were worth the money paid. This cafe is well-known in Metro Cebu and we were lucky that we got the chance to eat here. I was told by the manager that they just opened on October 2010.

Our favorite appetizer was the Gambas ala-una paired with their one-of-a-kind mixes of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. For the main course, we tried the ever-popular Mooon Steak. Fish lovers can also enjoy the Fish Mozzarella Melt and their specialty, the Tanigue Steak. The cafe’s shakes and coffees perhaps are the reasons why the place never goes empty especially at night.

With the Mooon Cafe’s relaxing ambiance and unique menu this will definitely be on my list of favorite cheap restaurants. Filipinos and tourists alike never miss the chance to taste their food when they’re in the area!
