The Deptford Project located in southeast London consists of a market, art exhibition space, a re-purposed train, and more!
The most prominent aspect of The Deptford Project is the Deptford Market. Here you’ll find an ever-changing selection of antiques and bric-a-brac. You’ll also find fresh fruit and vegetables. The market stretches along Deptford High Street and is tucked away into a back lot where you’ll find more unusual items. The market takes place every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 7am to 4pm.
A very unique part of The Deptford Project is a disused train carriage. It has been transformed into a cafe where you will find a nice selection of sandwiches and coffee. The train itself is painted has an ever-changing look, as artists are invited to paint it in their own unique style. You’ll also find the Deptford Art Walk, an outdoor art exhibition located adjacent to the train carriage.
