A fantastic getaway and a truly Londen-esque experience - Dinner at Dim T and a walk along the river with my favourite person is by far my top London treat.
A real gem – and by no means a hidden one. Despite this being a hugely popular attraction and location for locals and tourists alike, I’ll always find a walk along the Thames, followed by dinner over looking Tower Bridge, my favourite London getaway.
After working on a busy Saturday, in a busy London (in a very busy Lomography Store) I want to get away, I want peace, I want to relax, and I want an evening with my favourite person – by all means I don’t want to go home and spend my Saturday night on the sofa (again).
Arriving head on to a beautiful, glowing, night time cityscape, I remember why I love London and why everyone loves London. Fairy lit trees and a gentle city buzz – I’m happy and I’ve escaped.
Be it a romantic evening just the two of you or a place to show off to your family and friends – This is by far what I’d recommend, and then go and see for yourselves.
Arrive at London Bridge, head towards Tower Bridge…maybe stop for a drink, or just stroll straight down the river towards Dim T – Ask for a table upstairs, by the window (or book in advance to guarantee – it really is worth it). Order – a bottle of red wine, prawn crackers, duck and pancakes and then the star of the show – Fire Cracker Prawns. Sit back and take it all in. You won’t be disappointed.
