The Rhine Falls

At the town of Schaffhausen, the Rhine reaches a width of 200 meters and has a summer flow of over 1,000 cubic meters per second. Then it faces a sudden drop of over 20 meters. This is known as the Rhine Falls (Rheinfalls), the largest in Europe.

Last summer, we decided to spend a day at the largest waterfall in Europe, Rhine Falls. It’s one of those places you can’t go without a good Lomo camera and a few films.

The road to the falls is beautiful, well photographed, but once you arrive…it’s just amazing. You can also take a boat tour and take a nice tour that lets you get closer to the falls. I was anxious to get on and start shooting. Also, for those fans of Lost, the captain looks like Frank Lapidus. ;)
