On a wonderful August Bank Holiday weekend, a group of friends went on an adventure on the Norfolk Borads for the day armed with tea, biscuits and a Yashica Samurai camera!
Although I’ve lived in Norfolk for the first half of my life, it still amazes me to think that at 25 – this trip was the first time that I had been on a boat on the Norfolk broads. I don’t know why I waited so long!!
Based on the River Bure in Norfolk, Wroxham broad is a part of the Norfolk broads, a network of water ways that are popular tourist destinations. I’ve been visiting Wroxham since I was a little girl but had never been on one of the day boats that you can rent.
We spent the entire day on the boat, heading out to the coast (though we didn’t get far at 5 mph) until we stopped for lunch in a pub (you have to do that right…) and then headed back to Wroxham.
The views along the journey were stunning and I’m so glad that I took my camera with me!
