Paris or My Lomographic Dream

Through the objective of a lomographic camera, all that surrounds me seem to be more alive, more exceptional, as if I'm seeing things for the first time. And it's in Paris where these moments are most precious. This city, which is rich in history and magical places, gives me a wonderful feeling each time which makes it hard for me to go someplace else.

I used to see Paris as one grey and sad big city. A city where the inhabitants spend too much time underground, who forgot to enjoy the warmth of the sunlight, forgot that they could set aside just 2 seconds of their precious time to smile and enjoy life.

But during that time, I didn’t still know Paris and the Parisians well, and my then ignorance and prejudices literally flew away as soon as I began to explore this city – of all that our capital and its inhabitants has to offer, visually as well as emotionally!

Naturally, just like with every tourist who visits Paris for the first time, the first places that I visited were the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre and the Sacré Coeur, Pigalle, Notre-Dame, the Louvre and the Jardin des Tuileries to the Place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysées, and more. But in this first article I shall publish only lomographic moments which most moved me, these unique moments when I was in my bubble, where I lived my Parisian dream through the objective of my Lomo LC-A !

Among others, what you’ll see are the Seine amidst a chaotic sky; the Eiffel Tower which is liked by all; an appearance exit straight out from a science fiction book; a divine temple where we expect to receive a mysterious prediction; the mixture of ancient and modernity, the mixture of stones and nature, the omnipresent music in my mind. You’ll see what Paris is for me, a place where reality becomes a dream!

To accompany this I invite you to discover a place of Paris in music, a video filmed by the one who makes me like Paris and who gives me the possibility to stay in this Parisian dream everyday (thanks to Hiboo, thanks Rod!).
