There really is nowhere else quite like Venice. It is a place where history and romance are mixed together perfectly. Here, you can listen to breathtaking stories, meet amazing people, and feel like you are in a different world.
Venice has two sides. The one that is full of tourists, which are always crowded and expensive – St Mark’s Square, Basilica, Canale Grande or Ponte Rialto. These are the usual tourist hangouts where they can explore the city’s “must-sees”. It’s also perfect for those who prefer elegant restaurants and their own guide. The famous gondolas with a singing gondoliere can also be found here.
The other side is completely different. It is reserved for someone who is not afraid to stray from the path. There, you can find peace and take a look on slow, Italian life. You can see old women hanging laundry, small children playing in the boats or meet a gondoliere who is taking a nap close to the canal.
So do visit Venice and find your own path.
