When you approach the entrance of Disneyland and hear the magical music playing all around and it will be hard not to get a fizzing excitement in your belly and revert back to childlike jumps of joy at the thought of meeting Mickey Mouse!
I went to Paris with my partner for a week and on the day before our last day, we decided to head to Disneyland on the Metro. We mulled over the option for ages, we hate queues, my partner doesn’t like rides and we are both 20 years old. In the end we thought, “Why not?!” It was amazing, neither of us have been to a Disneyland park as children so we easily reverted back to 10-year-olds when we heard the magical Disney music. There was also no queue for tickets! Which was a bonus.
We went on a hot September day and this really showed in the photos that I took and added bright blue skies to the multicoloured magical sights that Disneyland has to offer.
We spent most of the day in the main Disneyland park going to all the mini villages with different themes going on some of the lighter rides. The best ride by far was Buzz Lightyear’s Laser Quest which is an interactive ride where you get a gun to shoot at targets to defeat the Evil Emperor Zurg!
Being Toy Story fans we also went over to the Walt Disney Studio Park for the Toy Story Playland where everything is super-sized with giant Christmas lights overhead held up by pencils and kinex.
Be sure to catch the end of day parade with dancers, floats, and all the Disney characters jollying around.
Not only is Disneyland a fun day out in itself, it’s also a hive for happy seeking Lomographers who can enjoy the different lands of magic and meet their favourite character. Many of the rides would be interesting with an Action Sampler and no doubt a Spinner 360 would capture some great colourful snaps.
