Tracy Arm is a fjord near the Alaskan city of Juneau. It offers some of the most beautiful sceneries in the world, and is most easily accessible by boat or ship. If you're on the lookout for your next holiday destination, why not consider this Lomo Location?
I have been to Tracy Arm many times in my life, and for that I am very grateful. This place is easily one of the most beautiful places on earth. The main attraction to Tracy Arm is the glacier at the head of the fjord, called Sawyer Glacier. On clear days you can see the massive wall of glacial ice up close and you can even hear the sound of the ice cracking as the sun shines on it. If you are lucky you may even see some of the ice calve (or fall off) the glacier. This is a very dramatic sight, as the huge chunks of ice crash into the water below.
Although the glacier is the main attraction, there are many other things that make this place a must visit. This includes the large icebergs floating all around you as you make your way through the fjord. Sometimes you will see wildlife, like seals or eagles and other birds taking a ride on the icebergs.
The surrounding mountains are another highlight of this location. They are massive and they seem to stretch to the sky. Depending on the time of year you visit they may be covered with snow or you might see a giant waterfall flow down them.
Even though I have been here many times, any opportunity I have to go back I will take because it is such a beautiful sight, and it won’t be there forever.
