Broadway is a quintessential English village nestled beneath the Worcestershire Hills of Cotswolds. Not only is it very historic but it has also emerged as a very popular center for the arts. It's an excellent place for a day trip as it is also full of wonderful little shops, bars, and restaurants that make for great subjects - and backdrops for photos.

My friends and I visited the charming English village called Broadway while staying at the Vale of Evesham in early October. We were also lucky enough to get some great weather while we were there.

The village is lively and vibrant with an excellent range of unique shops and designer boutiques all built in the very distinct Cotswold stone.

Broadway is a very historic village, its origins dates back to Roman times and over the centuries it has made its mark on the Cotswolds in many ways. During the 1600s, it was a major stopover for stage coaches traveling between Worcester and London. A couple of centuries later, Broadway emerged as a very popular center for the arts, attracting Edward Elgar and various American artists such as Edwin Austin Abbey and John Singer Sargent.

This village is an excellent little place to visit for a day trip and a great place to take photos, the Cotswold stone buildings make for a very interesting subject matter and the village is full of great little shops, bars and restaurants.

If you want to enjoy some good ’ol English tea, I recommend the cream tea at Table Manners tea rooms, which my friends and I all enjoyed! Mmm…yum!
