The Abandoned Factory in Albenga

Last Sunday, I drove to Albenga to take photos of the abandoned factory that I always see when I enter the town. With my Holga camera and SX-70 in tow, I spent half an hour there just taking photos. It was a good spot for picture taking on a gloomy Sunday.

Well, I don’t know if this is a spooky location as it is a convenient place for kids to play in. It is very spacious with no parents in sight, there are mountains of sand and corners to hide in, but it also fits shooting with my Holga and SX-70 on gloomy Sundays.

Last Sunday, I decided to make a little trip to Italy, which is about 100km away from my town to take pics (and also eat pizza and drink good coffee).

The weather was uncertain, I thought it would be raining and this atmosphere would be perfect to take gloomy pictures of the abandoned factory that I always see when I enter the suburbs of Albenga while driving my car.

Sundays, during fall, around noon is the perfect time to make a stop there: no traffic and no people around.

So I took my Polaroid SX and Holga to take photos of the place for about half an hour. A dog was barking, I wondered if a watchman would go out of the house, but nobody came. I don’t even know the name of this place.

I shot with a 600 expired film in my SX-70 and Kodak Portra 160vc and 400vc in my Holga.

Thank you for your delicious comments ! Polaroids are so funny, it's a pity there's no more good films...
